Matt heads up the Projects and Consulting practice for Futurestep. He holds overall responsibility for the team that delivers consulting assignments and projects for Futurestep, nationally.

Based in Sydney, his focus is partnering with clients to assist in the talent identification and talent qualification for their changing needs.

Matt’s background includes recruitment and selection, senior management, and consulting for two of Australia’s leading human resource consulting firms. Matt has also worked as a psychologist in the counselling and clinical arena prior to working in organisational psychology. He has over ten years experience in organisational psychology and consulting, working with Australia and New Zealand’s top corporate and blue chip clients. Matt has extensive experience working with senior leadership groups and executive teams.

Prior to joining Futurestep, Matt was National Practice Leader, Consulting, with a large international consultancy based in Sydney. His previous experiences include General Management and client management across Australia and New Zealand.

Matt has a Bachelor of Arts (literature and psychology) and a Master of Arts (psychology) from the University of Sydney.

Nick Bailey joined Korn/Ferry International in 1997 as a Managing Consultant in the Advanced Technology Practice, before moving across to Futurestep in 1998 and becoming the Business Development Director of Futurestep UK in 2002. He was instrumental in growing the business and overseeing the establishment of the UK office, as well as creating a Technology & New Media Practice.

In 2002 Nick moved into the Software Industry and joined the world's 5th largest ISV where he managed a software sales & services team focusing on the TMT & Utilities sectors.

A desire to work internationally and to gain experience in the APAC region, led Nick to Sydney in 2004 where he joined a market leading recruitment firm as the Business Manager for Sales & Marketing, operating across all major industry verticals.

Nick returned to Futurestep in July 2005 as Market Leader for the Technology & Consumer Practices, with responsibility for overseeing the growth and retention of Futurestep’s client base within these markets. Recently promoted into a new role, Nick is currently the Client Solutions Director for Futurestep’s RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing) solutions group. In this capacity he is responsible for client development and commercial discussions with Futurestep’s clients in Australia.

Nick holds a BSc.Hons degree from Southampton University.
