Sonia joined Super Cheap Auto Group in December 2005 as the Group Human Resources Manager leading a HR team of 26 people. The company has 245 Supercheap Auto stores and 48 BCF (Boating Camping & Fishing) stores, employing over 4500 Team Members across Australia, New Zealand and China. The Company has recently announced a move into the bike market with the acquisition of Goldcross Cycles Pty Ltd. Supercheap Auto Group has also been nominated as a 2008 finalist in the American Express Rewards for Excellence in Training/HR presented by the National Retailers Association.

Sonia has over 10 years of Human Resources experience both in Australia and internationally. She is a member of the Australian Centre of Retail Studies (ACRS) Advisory Board which comprises of a number of Academics from Monash University and representatives of retailers and associated agencies. She commenced her HR career with Franklins Limited and since then has held senior management positions for companies including Brazin Limited, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and Sunglass Hut Australasia.
