Darrell Johns is the Regional Human Resources Director for Amway having commenced with Amway in 1992.
Prior to the Direct Selling Industry and Amway he had 10 years in Manufacturing for Tooheys Limited, Bond Brewing and Lion Nathan.
With 27 years experience in total with 15 years of International Experience gained across Multiple countries throughout Asia, South Africa and Australasia he brings a passion for people, a passion for having fun in the workplace and a strong desire to make people make the difference in international business. Under Darrell’s leadership he has redefined the profile of HR globally, leading his team, the Global HR team and the business to make Amway a truly wonderful place to work.
Darrell has 12 years experience and is the longest serving member of the Global HR Governance Team having responsibility for Global HR decisions affecting the global Amway environment. Since his appointment on this team Amway has grown to an impressive 8 billion dollar global business with 15000 employees and still growing.
Darrell really enjoys the international role Amway provides having a current responsibility for the Australian, New Zealand, South African and African regions which is based on Sydney, he travels often and loves dealing with all different cultures.
As a very enthusiastic and dedicated Senior HR Professional Darrell prides himself on his ability to partner at all levels, building both rapport and trust which allows him to actions and get results on all HR strategies. He enjoys working with a Senior Executive team and provides valuable input on issues that affect the business, not just HR specific issues.. Further, he enjoys leading the HR team and working with the team hands on as well to ensure that they together achieve results which support and enhance the bottom line.
Darrell has a Bachelor of Business Majoring in Human Resources Management, and Post graduate Studies in International Human resources Management, Certificate in HR and Accounting qualifications that compliment his professional experience.
Darrell enjoys playing competitive Mens and Mixed Netball having recently represented New South Wales in the Mixed team at National level in April 2009, he also enjoys competitive Tennis and has found a new passion in Running and keeping fit.
