HR Strategy & Culture Change At Wyeth

Presented by Gayle Philpotts

Gayle Philpotts joined Wyeth in 2006 as HR Director. With 21 years experience gained across nine organisations and four industries, she brings a passion for people, a pragmatic attitude and a desire to make a difference to the business. Under Gayle’s leadership she has redefined the profile of HR, leading her team, and the business to make Wyeth an even better place to work.

With low unemployment, a tight labour market and a war for talent, people have never been more important. Now more than ever HR has the responsibility to add value through initiatives that enable organisational success. As a HRD, Gayle is able to set strategic direction as well as handle operational tasks to ensure relevant outcomes are delivered in a timely manner.

As an enthusiastic and dedicated HR Professional Gayle prides herself on her ability to partner with the boss, building both rapport and trust which allows her to act as a sounding board on confidential matters. She enjoys working with a Senior Executive team and provides input on issues that affect the business, not just HR specific issues.. Further, she enjoys leading the HR team to ensure that they achieve results which support and enhance the bottom line. The philosophy she has continually set the team is to listen to and work with our business partners, to support each other, to have fun but to respect confidentiality at all times.

With a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Psychology, a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a thesis on Customer Service and Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) a thesis on Change Management, Gayle qualifications compliment her professional experience.
